one of my work colleagues is having a gastric bypass in a few months
the doctors have told her she needs to lose a few stone before the surgery
so she has been on the lighter life meal replacement diet and managed to lose 4 stone in 6wks even though i do believe this surgery is a good idea i still wonder why she needs it if she can lose weight with out the surgery

I suppose in hind sight, it might be an easier option for her. I'd love to be able to do the cambridge or lighter life weight loss plan, but i know i;d never be able to afford it. I suppose maybe using the diet she is doing, is just a tempoary measure as she may not be able to afford it for long periods also.

her parents are paying for her to do the lighter life plan and the surgeon has told her that there is a very high risk of her dying during surgery but she is willing to take the risk i can understand why as my main prob is will power the same as her and with the operation you have no choice you cant over indulge at one point i was considering having my jaw wired but i would prob just melt my dairy milk lol x

LOL at melting the diary milk in.

I think surgery of any kind is drastic, i can't ever imagine myself having surgery to help with weight issues personally, but i admire people that do have to have it, at least they can acknowledge that there is something wrong.

Why dont you point her in our direction and we can all help her together, even if she has the surgery, she may well need a friendly ear, and i know you will at the time aswel.

Will be thinking of your friend

Hey it's been awhile, was just wondering how your friend is getting on now with the whole weight loss and WLS which is slowly creeping up on her.

Make sure to point her in our direction and we can help support her and gudie her if need be.
